I grew up in Lancaster county, graduated from a small school in the SE part of the county. I attended Temple University in NE Philly, and recieived a BA in Psychology. Later I attended Alvernia College and obtained by Physical Therapist Assistant AS and have been working hard to learn as much as I can about the human body and its problems for the past 14+ years. I began my professional career in a large (500+bed) hospital and learned a tremendous amount about the body and its ability to break it's self down and/or repair itself. I ended up in a teaching position about 8 years later teaching Physical Therapist Assistant students at a local college. One does not realize how much he/she does not know about a subject until they need to teach it to someone. While there I taught Kinesiology (the study of movement), Therapeutic Exercise, PTA procedures, and a Wound course that I wrote. I thought I had a pretty good skill set heading into the teaching job but after.... well lets just say I learned almost as much as I taught about myself, the profession of PT and others. I now work in an Outpatient clinic where I'm able to utilize my skills to help heal the body, strengthen, and increase a patient's function. I love it! Additionally, The organization I work for is fully supportive of strength and conditioning training for reduction of injuries, sport performance, and generalized fitness. Having obtained my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), I have the opportunity to fulfill my philosophy and improve the quality of life and quality of sport performance. I have my Golf Conditioning Specialist Certification, level 1 Piliates mat Certification, 14 years of experience in Physical Therapy, and education background. My passion and calling is life is to help others...If I can improve your sport performance or fitness whether it is strength, power, speed, agilty or quickness... I'll give as much to you as you can give me! Rich
